Databases

Somewhere along the line you are going to use a database - it may just be to catalogue your wine collection or the family photos. Maybe you have a library and need to know what books you have and where they are. You may run a business and wish to keep track of assets, staff, orders or whatever.

A well designed database can do almost anything and save you time and money. We like producing databases as they provide an intellectual challenge though we do ask to be thoroughly briefed on your requirements. These days we tend to use FileMaker 8 which is cross platform so you can use it in a mixed Mac/PC environment. In the past we have used Helix Express but this still has to make the jump to OS X even though our business still runs on one under Classic mode.
