MaxResponse is managed by John Lewis who is a well known and respected Mac writer and consultant

On a business trip to the US he fell in love with Lisa - the forerunner to the Mac - and realised its potential. When the Mac became available in the UK he was one of the first purchasers, these early models even had US power supplies. He equipped his management team with Macs and was one of the first people in the UK to set up a network. In fact he spent hours agonising whether he should have a 10 or a 20Mbyte hard drive as a server for the 5 Macs on the network! He also learnt the hard way that it is important to back up data, and even more important to check that the backed up data can be recovered.

He was the founder of the Macintosh User Group which later became the Macintosh Association; he also founded the ClarisWorks and FileMaker users groups in the UK. He published and wrote for MacTimes and now produces MR News as well as contributing on an occasional basis to the national Mac magazines and the trade press.

Prior to setting up MaxResponse in 1996 he was dealer principal for a large Apple dealership in Oxford. He now provides a more personal service and regularly liases with other, similar Apple specialists across the country to ensure that any problems which he can't immediately solve can be shared with others for a quick resolution.
